This year Mental Health Awareness Week starts on Monday 11 May, with the theme of Action: for yourself, for someone else, for all of us.
Throughout the week, we’ll be out and about across Dorset, offering a range of events, groups, and support. Whether you’re looking for a space to talk, meet others, try something new, or simply feel less alone, we’re here to help create welcoming spaces where you can feel supported. From community events to Sports and Social connection groups, and opportunities to learn through our Recovery Education Centre, there are lots of ways to get involved – whatever feels right for you.

More ways to take action
Taking action for your mental health looks different for everyone. During the week, you might choose to:
- Connect – with others at our events above
- Find ways to move, through our sports and social connection activities across the county
- Learn new skills and build your confidence through Recovery Education Centre courses
- Share your experiences to help others feel less alone via our webform
Each of these small steps can make a real difference—and we’re here to support you along the way.
